The Ship has sailed!!!

Actually my first shipment of stamps has sailed!!! It has been an exciting and exhilarating week!!!! We got our first order for our stamps from Melissa at Paper Popsicles on the 6th of November and we have been really busy getting everything together to ship out! I loved it!!! Getting up before Timmy so I could get as much done as possible before he woke up and even got Gramama to come over a couple days to entertain him.....Not that I had to twist her arm! She had a great time and Timmy enjoyed having her there to tell his stories to!
I'm posting the stamps that I sent to Melissa....You may want to let her know which ones you desire.....I'm hoping you'll enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed making them. We did check everyone to make sure they are all good...got to keep my friends and customers happy!

Over half way through October!!!

How can time go so fast!!!! It was just September! And you can see how bad I have neglected my blog! shame on me!!!
Okay so maybe I have a good reason....I'll let you decide! I have been working on my new business. I am making stamps, acrylic....I'm designing them and have the equipement to make them and started to produce my stamps! Exciting huh! I think so....I have wanted to have stamps made out of my art for about 10 years now!! But the cost to have someone else make them was too high to ever see a profit without charging everyone an arm and leg! I thought of submitting my work to professional scrapbooking suppliers....don't think I could stand the regection! Plus they may only want a few of my designs and I already have over 35 designs!!! Well I decided that I would investigate what exactly it would take to do what I want. It took alot of research and some monies....Now it is taking alot of time. But after I have all my designs into the computer and ready to make negatives my time will be more evened out!!! At least that is my hopes.....I haven't scrapped since last months tag swap aaaaahhhhh!!!!! And let's NOT get started on my scraproom!!! Which thanks to the group at Paper Popsicles, we are trying to do our rooms together.
Speaking of Paper Popsicles we had a wonderful Fall Fling Crop weekend! I am amazed at how fast these ladies turned out awesome layouts, projects and cards! And the deals at the store were just as amazing!!!! And if you ladies are interested in some wonderful kits...check out Novembers! But they usually sell out fast so don't hesitate! I'm glad I updated my site....need to get back to work!!!

It's September!

What a busy Labor Day weekend! No I didn't get my tiling project done, but it is closer to completion! I have some detail painting to do, then bake it and hang it! but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel!!!

I did get a layout done of my niece and son. I used the September kit "Romantic" from Paper Popsicles. Sorry to say but this is also sold out! I believe you are still able to get in on Octobers kits...and they are just as sweet as the other months! So if you don't want to miss out you better get your order in!

At Paper Popsicles we're have a big Fall Fling come by and get in on some of the fun and freebees! There will be contest and games and prizes. Also there is a search for October Guest Designer!

Well, I had started this post the beginning of September.......BAD BAD BAD......I guess I should finish it and post something!!! It has been very uneventful in my scraproom lately....I did finish my tags for the tag swap at Paper Popsicles and we are starting a new tag swap for the Holidays!!! how exciting! So I can't say I was totally unproductive in my room. Well let's see if I can keep up with the girls at Paper Popsicles and keep my blog updated!!!!

Projects, Ideas and Research.....

That is what I have in store for the Labor Day weekend....starting tonight! The main PROJECT is tiling the backsplash by my kitchen sink. I only started it in 2002! I can't simply tile I have to paint and bake the tile before installing the tile. The reason it went on hold was I found out I was pregnant and didn't trust the paint fumes. Well baby is 4 1/2 years old! So I need to finish this project! Hubby will be happy to see it completed!
IDEAS come in the form of Scrap layouts and art designs. Also tags, we are having a tag swap at Paper Popsicles. There is 10 ladies participating, it's going to be SOOO much fun!
The RESEARCH is about starting our own business. Hubby likes the sound of that "our". I have been looking into business license, product developement, funding.....ugh!

Another part I'm researching is Ebay to sell some statues of Devil Rays players we got at the games last year and this. I have been wanting to sell mine....don't need three! Now I have a reason! Also some other odds and ends, atleast it can make a dent in the funding part....I hope! So wish me luck in my endeavors, just wanting to keep busy! As a side note I didn't get the call today for Piggy Tales. I was hoping because I really enjoy their papers and accesories. But things happen for a reason and it may have interfered with my business venture. At least that's what I'm telling myself!

As for these layouts they are from Paper Popsicles supplies! Actually Augusts' kit which is no longer available! Sorry, but take a peek at Septembers and Octobers kits! If your interested get them early....they have been going FAST! I haven't been disappointed with anything from Paper Popsicles!
The "future gardener?" is my son being curious. He would take the fake fruit and veggies in and out of the basket! "In Line" is a photo of my son's master work of lining things up. He took his favorite book "Bear snores on" and put his bears in a line over the top of the book. It was too cute and had to get a photo of it! I still smile thinking of him hunting for stuffed bears to put together!
Well that is about what my Labor Day is going to be about, hope yours is enjoyable! Until next week, keep busy!

What to post!

That's the question of this week! As I watch the curse blink at me, I still wonder what to post! I have been working on alot of layouts this month. After looking at how little I did last month and I thought I had done more. So I made it a personal challenge to do a layout every other day! So far I have kept up, only one layout I'm not happy with and will no dout disassemble it! I love challenging myself, it keeps me motivated and the creative juices bubbling! I usually do multi-photo layouts, but have done a few single photo layouts and I'm quite pleased with them.

This is one of the latest I've done. I love taking photos of my son sleeping, he doesn't do it enough! This is also the last of my Piggy Tales "Frog Prince" papers, did I mention how much I love these! Well tonight is the last night for the DT call at Piggy Tales....Yes I submitted and yes I'm a nervous wreck. Probably why I've been scrappin so much! They don't call the new DT until Aug. 29 and they are not posting the winners on their site until Sept.1 so talk about more time to be nervous! I also submitted to October Afternoon. I found it on pub calls and I believe it's a new site. They have more than just stamps. They have beautiful country paper and tags also some wonderful rubons! And since I also submitted to them, just something else to worry about! What I really need to do is start submitting my artwork to manufacturers. How cool would that be scrappin with my own products that I designed! But like alot of artists the fear of the unknown and the chance of being regected holds us back. Looking at these words I just wrote and thinking, how foolish! I could be doing something I love and sharing my ideas with the scrap-world. Not to mention helping the family financially and still be here for my boy! Well, I guess I had more to post than I thought! Enjoy the weekend coming up! Play alot and laugh more!!! I have some drawings to work on and submit!

Last week at Paper Popsicles I hit a milestone! 1000 posts! It was easy with all the wonderful ladies on this site! There is alot of wonderful and talented ladies here and we have alot of fun!
I noticed last post I didn't add a project, so this post I'll add two! These are both made from "Dandelion Breeze" theme pack from Paper Popsicles. Of course they are of my precious son. The first "My Wishes for you..." was alot of fun, matching photos with the wishes. And the second layout "A Wish come true" was a layout of my first birthday as a mommy! The journaling and another photo is hidden behind the photo of me and Timmy. I enjoyed this one it reminded me how tiny he was and how much and how fast he has grown!

I've been busy chatting on the forum there also. A bunch of wonderful ladies to talk with! Come visit, stay and chat at the forum, join our group in the very least, check out some of the awesome theme packs and kits Melissa sells at very affordable prices! I'd love to show some of the pages I've been working on, but not until after the call is done. I do have one project I can show you! It's an organizer I designed and built out of necessity, for my scrapbooking machines! I haven't put the finishing touches on it...had to get busy scrapping, but the basic unit is here.
It's 27" high x 30" wide x 14" deep....not to big but gets things off the floor!

A layout with black and white photos.

WOW! It's been awhile since I posted! I've been pretty busy. Seems like I'm always busy. But I like it like that! I've been working on a couple scrapbook pages for contests and I found this fun scrapbook site. It's Paper popsicles and their having a design team call. So I've been trying to get some pages done for that.

I figured I would show a layout I did for my mom as a Christmas present. I put it in a scrapbook frame so she could hang it on the wall....I'm very pleased with the results! Yes, that fat bald baby is me with my brother.

The Dalmatian is Skeeter. He was my inspiration when I started back at drawing in 1996. Unfortunatly even the most devoted companions succumb to age. But great memories, alot of photos and some drawings will always bring a smile to my face!

a page about mud!

This is a page I did for a contest with KMA. Awesome bunch of ladies and the contest was alot of fun! This is one of my favorites out of the 6 layouts we did. It was a 6 week contest and each week was a different challenge. Even though I didn't win I enjoyed the competition and it made me try different things in my scrapbook I probably wouldn't have tried. I also got to know a great bunch of ladies and still visit the forum to check out new contest and see what everyones up to.

Hi from my world! I'm starting this blog to show my work. I'm an artist and an avid scrapbooker. I hope one day to combine these loves as a career!
This is Ali.
She's a pet portrait I did just before Christmas. I had the pleasure of meeting her owner and photographing Ali to draw from. They both were wonderful and I enjoyed working with them.
I use colored pencils on canson paper. I love the sharpness and the detail I get with pencils.
